Welcome to my design portfolio. I hope you have had the chance the peruse through it and like the work I have done so far.
To give you a little background about myself…where do I begin? My design path was quite accidental. When I was young I used to love to doodle in class and had a passion for abstract art and portraits. When I joined university and took a course in Information Systems and Technology, I realized that I could use design applications to create art, and so I started learning how to use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
This really helped me get motivated to pursue design and when I joined the United Nations Environment Programme (16th of May, 2005), I was able to use this knowledge in the projects I worked on, and eventually became a Communications Manager for quite a few of them. When my contract drew to an end (December 2012), I opted for venturing out on my own over accepting another UN contract that I had been offered. I felt that it was time to challenge myself further and so I decided to go into web and graphic design, web development and digital marketing full time.
So, from 2013 onwards, I have been consciously building my portfolio (both independently and whilst working as the Creative Director for Pilipili Creative Ltd., and as the Marketing Director for Wild Side African Safaris Ltd.) and I hope that some of the work I have showcased will prove to you my passion in this arena.
